The Wildlife living near your area

Above: A juvenile herring gull has an evening rest sitting on the beach at Hastings.

In a brighter light, these two adult gulls look more like doves.
They are a couple which nested every year in sight of my back window at the last flat I lived in.

    Seeing double
    Bit of comedy this time!
Reg was combining reading with watching the TV and came up with this

spectacular arrangement to make this easier.

I noticed these two flusher buttons in a toilet at Battle Abbey on Friday.
They're presumably to save water as the smaller delivers a shorter flush.
(Mind you, if everyone else presses both to see what happens like I did they won't save much.)
I know there's 3 reflections, I hadn't really taken the middle one into account
when I thought this would sort of do for the challenge theme.
BTW, I'm not actually sitting on the toilet here or anything, the buttons are behind the pan.

About Me

  • I'm 56 years old, I've lived in a faded seaside town on the south coast of England called Hastings for 36 years. I have four grown up children by my first wife all of whom live in this same town whichI'm very happy about. I married again and moved up to East Anglia for 10 unsuccessful religious years. I returned, divorced and disillusioned to Hastings in 2000. I lived in a 2nd floor flat here for 8 years then moved in November 08 to a bigger one with a garden which we are now doing up. I'm medically retired now. I have a male partner, my Reg. We've been together for five years and we love and are well suited to each other. He's in his 50's too. Both our families have been accepting of our relationship which is fortunate. We both enjoy digital photography and like to go for PhotoWalks.
